Mike says “I have always been interested in trains. I’ve been told the first word I ever spoke was “Caboose”.
Mike grew up in River Forest, a suburb of Chicago. His house was 1 block south of the Chicago & North Western’s Galena subdivision line, with about 55 commuter trains and 15-20 freight trains every day and 1 block east of the Soo Line, with 6 to 8 freight trains a day, so he always saw a lot of trains.
