Any day of the year, any time of the day, your child can call Dial-A-Story at 660-885-4400 and listen to a recorded folk tale, short story, fairy tale, or myth. Each story lasts approximately three minutes and are geared toward young children. Dial-A-Story is an out-reach service offered to the public by the Henry County Library.
The Wolfner Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is a free library service to anyone in the State of Missouri who is unable to use standard print materials due to a visual or physical disability.
The library collection consists of more than 360,000 volumes of books in non-print formats on a broad range of fiction and non-fiction subjects for all ages. The library loans playback machines to those using the recorded materials. Over seventy (70) magazine subscriptions are also available.
The Book Express program provides library materials to homebound patrons. Homebound patrons may either request specific titles or allow library staff to pick out materials on their behalf. The library will hold these materials and allow a person designated by the patron to pick the materials up. Every effort will be made by library staff to select materials acceptable to the patron's preferences. However, the Henry County Library is not responsible for patrons approval of language, subject matter, etc. of any materials selected for the patron.
